Getting to Know Your Sierra Nevada 20-30 Members ...

· Why did you join 20-30? How long have you been a member?


I joined 20-30 to build friendships, make connections and give back to the community. Joined Dec 2007.


· What positions (both club and national) have you held?


President, Vice President, Secretary, Membership Director, National New Charter Committee member


· Do you have a nickname? What is it? How did you get it?


Maria. During a visitation to the Ensenada Club for their Installation, the members of the Ensenada Club could not remember/understand my name so they started calling me Maria. It stuck.



· Do you like to travel and where have you been?


Yes. But unfortunately I have not been many places. So far Denmark, Puerto Rico, Puerto Vallarta. With 20-30: Ensenada, Dominican Republic, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Folsom, Roseville, Auburn, Vacaville


· If the whole world were listening, what would you say?


Live life to the fullest, laugh 'til it hurts, love with you whole heart


· How long have you lived here?


4 1/2 years. Moved to Nevada June of 2007


· What is the main thing that makes you unique?


I try to find the positive in any situation


· What is your greatest strength?


Compassion to help and care for others


· What are most proud of?


My accomplishments thus far - earning my Doctorate degree, having a great career, owning my own house and giving back to the community


· Do you have any siblings?


Yes an older brother

· What do you like to do in your free time?

Spend time with family, play, ok, more practice, guitar, watch movies, spend time with my 20-30 family
