Meet Your Sierra Nevada 20-30 Member - Leslie Batistich


Leslie Batistich

· Why did you join 20-30? How long have you been a member?

I joined Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 for friendships, networking and most importantly way to give back to this wonderful community we live in. Since 2006

· What positions (both club and national) have you held?

President, Vice President, Secretary, National Convention Co-chair

· Do you have a nickname? What is it? How did you get it?

Not much of one. Les Short for Leslie.

· Do you like to travel and where have you been?

I love to travel! I have been to (or through) most of the United States. The Virgin Islands. Mexico. My favorite travels have been to Europe. In Europe I have visited Spain, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

· If the whole world were listening, what would you say?

"Can't we just all get along?"

· How long have you lived here?

I have been in the Carson Valley for 16 years now.

· What is the main thing that makes you unique?

I am multi dimensional.

· What is your greatest strength?

I never judge a book by its cover.

· What are you most proud of?

Philanthropy: All my endeavors with Active 20-30.

Professional: Being part of a small start up business that is now a global success.

Hobby: Back in the 80's I won a grand slam at the Santa Barbra National Horse Show. I had three out of three back to back championships. Most people are extremely lucky to leave with one.

· Do you have any siblings?

Yes, two. Two older brothers. One is a businessman in Washington State and the other is a produce farmer in California. If you eat your veggies you most likely have eaten something he has grown.

· What do you like to do in your free time?

Travel and try new things. I am always up for a new adventure!
